KJC hosted a meeting with representatives of justice institutions from Northern Macedonia

Prishtina, 19.02.2021 – The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC), hosted representatives of justice institutions from Northern Macedonia. Present at the meeting were representatives from the Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice of Northern Macedonia. Also, present at the meeting was deputy Ambassador of Norway in Prishtina, Mrs. Jenny Stenberg Sørvold. The purpose of this visit by the representative of Northern Macedonia was the closer acquaintance of the CMIS Project as well as the results achieved from the implementation of this project in the judicial system of Kosovo.

The Chairman of the KJC, Skender Çoçaj, stressed that the judicial system of Kosovo has achieved significant progress in the implementation of the CMIS Project and that the implementation of this project will enable the consolidation of the judicial and prosecutorial system in increasing transparency, accountability as well as credibility to the citizens, which we are all aiming to achieve together, and we are very committed in this regard.

“I hope that our cooperation, which is of special importance, will be a bridge between the Kosovo Judicial Council and the Judicial Council of Macedonia, so that these institutions continue to exchange their mutual experiences in the application of technology in the field of justice as well as in other areas which affect the increase of the quality of the judiciary “, said Çoçaj.

Following the meeting, the CMIS system was introduced, its functioning and the way in which electronic case management is done through this system. After the meeting, the participants continued their visit to the Data Center, at the Justice Palace in Prishtina.
