Prishtina, 30.11.2020 – Minister of Justice, Mr. Selim Selimi welcomed the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) Chair, Skender Çoçaj and that of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, Bahri Hyseni, where they discussed the steps of action towards the finalization of the first draft of the Strategy that derives from the process of Functional Review of the Rule of Law Sector.
The KJC Chair reconfirmed the readiness of the KJC to continue the cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, in order to address the challenges of the judicial system through a functional review process.
During this meeting, it was agreed that the teams of the Ministry of Justice and the two councils, the KJC and the KPC, meet to address the comments and finalize the recommendations included in the Strategy.
In this meeting it was also discussed to address the comments related to the finalization of the Draft Law on Commercial Court, as well as the necessary legislative changes to the judicial system.
