Prishtina, 25.01.2021 – Today, the judges’ number of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) increased by 23 new judges. In accordance with the KJC proposal, the Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has appointed 23 new judges by decree.
The Chair of the KJC, Skender Çoçaj, welcomed the judges, expressing her readiness for cooperation in order to strengthen the justice system in the country.
The new judges appointed today will be distributed in the 7 basic courts of the Republic of Kosovo. Based on the laws in force, candidates for judges, before being sent to the President for appointment, have undergone the election process, a process led by the KJC.
