In order to improve the work process, increase the efficiency and transparency of the courts in processing cases, on 7 February 2020, the Kosovo Judicial Council together with the CMIS Project started piloting the automatic case assignment through CMIS system at the Basic Court Ferizaj.
Through the automatic case assignment function, the judge will be automatically assigned and it will be impossible to predict which judge will be assigned, thus eliminating human interference in the case assignment process. This function will also enable a high level of monitoring and reporting of the case assignment process.
The Kosovo Judicial Council together with the CMIS Project will often continue to implement the automatic case assignment in all Basic Courts, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Kosovo.
