The British Embassy, Pristina, in cooperation with the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) and Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC), hereby give Advance Notification of a unique learning opportunity designed to support ambitious increases in standards of those working at the heart of the Criminal Justice System.

We are pleased to announce an exciting initiative for further increasing skills of Prosecutors and Judges in dealing with high-level corruption, organised crime and money laundering cases.  We will shortly be inviting applications from Judges and Prosecutors wishing to engage in an interactive mentoring and learning experience.

Through tailored mentoring participants will benefit from close personal interaction with British justice system practitioners (Judges and Prosecutors) thereby enhancing their abilities and building career paths and prospects. It is also expected that having completed the programme participants will be able and willing to disseminate the benefits of their learning to their colleagues.

The programme will focus on the most difficult cases of high-level corruption, serious organised crime and money laundering. Successful candidates can expect:

  • intensive personal engagement over a 12-month period with UK practitioners who will provide practical advice and guidance designed to enhance technical and case management skills;
  • bespoke development training, support and guidance designed to meet both organisational and personal development needs;
  • study visits to England, when the successful applicants will be able to
  • , and
  • visit key Criminal Justice Organisations such as the National Crime Agency, Financial Conduct Authority, Serious Fraud Office, a Police Force and Courts.

It is expected that a formal notice inviting applications from all interested Prosecutors and Judges will be published in early September 2019.
