PRISHTINA, 21 July 2016 – It was held the hundred fifty ninth (159) Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) chaired by Kosovo Judicial Council Chair Mr. Nehat Idrizi.
The newly appointed members; Anita Prenaj Krasniqi, judge of Basic Court in Prishtina, Skënder Çoçaj, judge of Basic Court in Prizren and Nenad Laziq, judge in the Court of Appeal, today attended the regular meeting in the capacity of new members of KJC.
During this meeting, the Kosovo Judicial Council members have reviewed and approved the amendments and supplement of the Regulation 01/2015 on the role and activity of Steering Board of ICT/CMIS Project.
Also, in this meeting were appointed the members of the Committee for Recruitment, as per the Regulation (05/2016) on recruitment, exam, appointment and reappointment of judges.
As one of the agenda was also appointment of the Panel members for reviewing the applications under the Regulation (06/2016) on amending the Regulation no: 01/2014 on the procedure for promotion of judges.
The KJC members adopted the pilot project for an alternative resolution of contests in Basic Court of Prishtina, as pilot court, considering as a very important Project.
Also in this meeting the application for transfer of judges was adopted.
The Council was informed about several actual issues in Kosovo judiciary and approved some important decisions from its scope of activities.
